What standard is the dCC Food Safety Online Training program based on?
dCC Cannabis Food Safety Online Training is based on the global HACCP Codex Alimentarius International Food Standards of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. HACCP is the fundamental basis of all food safety programs and requirements globally. Please note that this training mentions and provides examples relating to all food categories (e.g. meat), and not just cannabis. Regardless of the food category mentioned, the same principles apply to the production of cannabis edibles.
Is this training sufficient for meeting training requirements under a HACCP system?
Yes. dCC Food Safety Online Training covers all aspects and industry standards of HACCP. At the end of the training and test you will receive a certificate of HACCP training that you can use as proof of training during audits and for potential employment.
Are there any topics that are not covered in this training program?
No. All important topics are covered to gain a complete understanding of HACCP.
What happens if the HACCP requirements change?
If any of the HACCP requirements change you will be notified by a member of dCC Food Safety Online Training immediately. We will advise you if the training program is still applicable and what, if anything, must be disregarded. Shortly after we will revise the program to reflect any necessary changes.
What if I fail the test at the end of the training?
No problem. All employees of a company account can repeat the training module and the test that follows as many times as required. Once you pass the test will issue you your personal certificate of HACCP training.

How long is the training valid for?
Ongoing HACCP training is required for all staff members involved in food processing, distribution and warehousing. Most companies have adopted the practice of conducting training for their staff
once a year.
How long does the training take?
The time required to complete dCC Food Safety Online Training depends on your existing knowledge. For someone with moderate experience and knowledge, half a day to a full day will be sufficient. For a beginner, the training will require somewhere between one and two days.
